Jerusalem is mine!
Said a man from Palestine
No, you must fail
Said a man from Israel
For years I’ve watched this scenario persist
Here International law really does not exist
I have watched with an open eye
As the years have gone rolling by
On one side there are Whites
screaming for their rights
“I’ve a God given right to be here”
They scream and scream with a tear
While they burn down olive groves
belonging to people sharing loaves
For generations we’ve lived here
With nothing…only fear
But the side of the Whites
With Zionist money claim their rights
Land grabbing through days and nights
Palestinians stand alone
International backing but all gone
And the Whites with their rights
Had the US in their sights
Help us with our State
As Jerusalem is our fate
It’s been 3000 years
With a Holocaust of tears
The man from Israel
Has a fearsome tale to tell
History for them was hell
Everyone must wish them well
Then learn from history
Modern behaviour’s a mystery
The priority is to reach a peaceful resolution
Or there will be another revolution
A Third Intifada would be a crime
For the people of Israel and Palestine
Over many years
Ethiopian Jews have endured fears
So they came and joined the Whites
And fought together for their rights
I have watched the land burn
For their right to return
But 3000 years?
Muslims, Christians and Jews
It’s Jerusalem they choose
It’s never out of the news
For those it’s a Holy site
But they treat their fellow man as a blight
Fought over for thousands of years
With the victor claiming the cheers
David and Goliath had a fight
Who was wrong, and who was right?
With Goliath the Philistine
Was the story written out of design?
But today it’s a reverse roll
David is now the giant of the dust bowl
No longer carrying a sling shot
But armed with weapons that are hot
The US taxpayer foots the bill
As the Israeli military assaults the hill
The Palestinians throw their stones
And risk more than their weary bones
As they’re watched by unmanned drones
So my answer to all this badness
As I see as utter madness
Is to jump in and make my bid
For the sake of every kid
IT’S MY JERUSALEM!
I’m not afraid of telling them
Enough of Godly talk
When you cannot walk the walk
I’m taking the walls down
Of this permanently fought over town
No more sacred sites
For Religions to have their fights
Blood runs through the water, stone and sand
But no more, as I take back this historic land
From this day forth, a skate park is born
The biggest in the world and open from the morn
Children from the region will have a new belief
No more hatred, fighting wars, but only friendship, love and relief
Respect for family, neighbours and their fellow man
IT’S MY JERUSALEM!
Oh yes…I can.
