Great to see you on there Bob. Have you ever thought about starting your own podcast? I think lots of people would love to hear you talk about your life. Past, present and future. As well as hear your views on all sorts of topics. One other quick question. Do you have any future plans to do any public speaking events? Cheers. Darren
Hi Darren, thanks for this. Chris asked me about whether I’d do my own podcast at the beginning of this interview, so I explained why I wouldn’t. I live in the States, therefore have nothing in the pipeline as far as public speaking events go. Too much grass to cut, ha ha.
Bob an entertaining session and certainly agree with much of what was exchanged. The units back in the late 70’s melded together in Gonfalon and Specwarex training and the compulsory kit swaps and outright thefts a Kiwi specialty. Hard to imagine how basic our Black role gear was both weapon systems and individual assault kit were modified and we really thought we were high tech. I hope you get to finish off your story. The circuit was never the same once the Iraq fiasco evolved enough said.
