THE SLEEPWALKERS

There is a terrific book on the shelves about the lead up to WW1 called Sleepwalking.

The whole lead up is similar to what’s happening today with who’s supporting who in the latest conflict in the Greater Middle East.

I’m well aware however that Western governments, the US and UK especially go to war on the back of “big business.”

But the sad thing that has struck me again and again is just how naïve or out of touch our two governments seem to be at knowing their enemy versus knowing their friends. Plus knowing just how strong or just how weak either are in reality.

There is absolutely no doubt that the US and UK governments are SLEEPWALKERS when you take them to task on the corporate wars of the last 20 years or so.

To see the Taliban back in power after a 20 year conflict in Afghanistan, and just today in Saudi Arabia there was a meeting taking place with the “who’s who” of all the nations from the Greater Middle East including Iran and Assad from Syria! So out of that group, who is really our friend and who is really our foe? Right now in Iraq, Iran has more influence than the US and UK combined, but they didn’t have it under Saddam Hussein!

$$$$$ have definitely allowed our governments to sleepwalk through their foreign policies…no doubt. But at the end of the day every action has a reaction.

There was no such thing as AQ or ISIL until the lids on Iraq and Libya were blown off by the SLEEPWALKERS meddling.

Israel’s closest friend is…Israel…that has always been the case. Right now they have shunned the West’s warning to reign back the killing of innocent civilians in Gaza and the West Bank…but no, Israel will continue to kill innocents with impunity. There is no doubt, many innocent Israeli civilians that have the ability, will take their chance to leave, as some are doing now. And Israel will never be the same again after this latest catastrophic escalation for both Israeli and Palestinian civilians alike.

Hamas did exactly the same on 7th October, however Israel’s government’s heads aren’t terrorists…or are they, given how their military is behaving right now by their indiscriminate killings of over 11.000 civilians so far, under the guise of targeting Hamas?

However, at the same time, the heads of Hamas bear a huge responsibility towards the horrendous deaths of around 1200 people in Southern Israel, and of course the abduction of over 200 men, women and children, including Israeli soldiers.

As each day goes by, Israel is losing it’s initial support. Even the global marches for a free Palestine are collecting more and more moderate Jewish supporters by the day…especially in London, New York and many other cities.

Surely that can’t be lost on both the US and UK governments…surely?

Each morning when I wake up, I fear that our two governments are continuing as SLEEPWALKERS, and therefore will lead us blindly into WW3 before they wake from their slumber.

Meanwhile as the IDF inside Gaza attempt to eradicate Hamas in the way that one would attempt to eradicate malaria in a crazy fashion…by slapping each mosquito that lands on their arm…an impossible plan of action. All of this while the leadership of Hamas sits in Qatar, enjoying all the luxuries of Gulf life. As their very own civilians who they govern over today back in the Gaza Strip are being slaughtered. I mentioned in a previous blog post that Qatar was hosting the leadership of the Afghan Taliban for a good while, when the US and their allies for twenty years were playing the very same “lets eradicate malaria” game.

So…SLEEPWALKERS…work out truthfully, and without the input of big business for a change, just who is really our closest allies, not just in the Greater Middle East but in the world today. Because there are countries right now, who are not our friends, yet know exactly who their friends are, and who their enemies are…as they are not SLEEPWALKERS.

The security of our two nations demand it!
