Well Below Average Britain!

Have a brew and carry on…we’re going to win! The WW2 ethos is now long gone.

Last night, my wife and I were invited to dinner with neighbours here in the USA. Everyone was appalled with what’s going on with the new US administration seemingly led by a billionaire pulling the strings of POTUS.

One of the main points was the “warming” to Putin and what may become of it in time?

That aside, my mind couldn’t help wandering back to my own country, and what is happening there.

In my lifetime “Great Britain” had an Empire, although a waning one.

We know through history Empire’s crumbled for one reason or another. Britain simply couldn’t afford to go on with theirs, no matter if the Empire was a good thing or a bad thing for all sides concerned.

In WW2 there was a time when no doubt our backs were to the wall. In fact, the majority of Parliament including members of the Royal Family were happy to side with the Nazis!

But Britain pushed on, played a canny game with the USA, Russia and others…and eventually won.

Fighting for the Falklands 1982

In 1982 the British sailed a task force 8000 miles to take back a group of small Islands that are located only 400 miles off the coast of Argentina…and in weeks took those islands back from Argentina.

Today, we couldn’t take back Barry Island if an angry foreigner was holding it.

From 1939 to 1945 we stopped the Nazis from taking our land. No foreign force penetrated Great Britain.

However today, young foreign men of fighting age have come over in their thousands, and are now walking our streets unopposed. On top of that our government has been naive enough to think that it is fine to accept young male Afghans, Iraqis and others “legally” into our country.

I’m happy for any woman and child coming in having flee’d danger. But not young men of fighting age!

We have been tied in with US foreign policy for decades now. Almost behaving in a manner that if we don’t follow, then we’ll become insignificant at the top table of superpowers…even though we’re not one.

So, with the USA talking about turning Gaza in the Middle East into an upmarket resort after getting rid of the people who belong there, and suggesting that Russia come to the table to talk peace…without Ukraine or Europe attending, in my view shows that Russia can take territory from Ukraine, will it be Georgia next? China can take Taiwan, Serbia can take their southern neighbours etc etc.

Weakness shown to Russia, and talk of the USA taking Gaza, the Panama Canal, Greenland and Canada (I can’t even write this without laughing, when I should be crying) is doing nothing but emboldening Putin and his ideas of expansion…and of course other adversaries.

Today, Britain does what the USA says…that’s been happening for decades now, the reason why collectively we’ve lost the “corporate wars” of the last 20 odd years.

We have the smallest military in modern history. As time has gone on, the softer that military has become…in choosing recruits, in training and in war!

It’s time for change.

Britain is an inclusive country…legal inclusion. Not young foreign men of fighting age coming over in rubber boats unopposed, and even sometimes helped. This has to stop…yesterday.

The British government and its opposition has to come together, just like in WW2 and 1982, and fight for it’s future.

A future where Britain is respected by all. Respected for it’s OWN foreign policies, of both soft power and hard power. A future where the British people of all races and religions can walk the streets safely and have respect for one another. A future where our education system and NHS becomes once again the envy of the world.

The USA today is fucked and with the two party system cannot be saved without change. However it’s not too late for Britain to get the word Great back again in front of it’s name.

All people of Britain, come together and hold your government to account before it’s too late.

It was held to account in 1939…we’re almost there again.

  1. Hi Bob,

Just back off the Lawrence trek, four SF Club members rode the 1917 route of Lawrence to Aqaba on camels, the first to do it since the great man himself

Got coverage in Mail, Telegraph and Times, but this article probably encompasses the best. https://scoopempire.com/across-the-arabian-desert-four-british-veterans-a-historic-trek-and-the-spirit-of-lawrence-of-arabia/

We did it in aid of the Special Forces Club Benevolent Fund (a UK Charity), we raise £430K towards our £500k target so far.

If you’d like to blog about it feel free, and if you need any additional info, just ask.

    1. Hi Howard,
Congrats on your trek, that’s awesome. An important piece of the WW1 jigsaw that should never be forgotten. Well done to the four of you, I’m jealous…but my 70yr old arse would never sit comfortable for so long on the back of a camel.

  2. Bob.

Once upon a time MP’s had the experience of serving in the military, which put upon them an understanding of the horrors of war. Since the end of WW2 more than 95% of the politicians of the West have not server on the front lines and put their lives at risk for country. To many of them, being an MP or American politician is about grift and living of the blood and tears of young men and women put in harms way for profit.

    1. all politicians that vote for wars of opportunity should have to send 25 of their closes relatives to the front lines for a minimum of 4 years.
    2. Everyone that supports the influx of young fighting age men, should be made to live in the communities that they are often dumped.
    3. The Treason laws need to be reintroduced and used against those in office that seek profit and power at the expense of the country.

    Regards

    Tug.
