The Day The Oval Office Became A Circus Ring

A withering flag on the global stage.

The performance today of POTUS and his VP in front of the world’s press shaming Ukraine’s President Zelensky was nothing short of humiliating.

As the saying goes, if you put a clown into the White House, he doesn’t become a President…instead, the Whitehouse becomes a circus.

If the events of this week at the Whitehouse (where two Western heads have come over to kiss the ring bearing gifts, the French and the British, the latter waving a letter from the King, inviting Trump to the Palace on what would be his second State visit) wasn’t groveling and sickening enough to take, then today eclipsed those events completely.

It’s clear that Trump doesn’t want a war on his watch. He’s keen to end the Ukraine war in any fashion, while simultaneously doing a deal on the rare earth and other minerals.

Zelensky clearly was not signing the mineral deal without 100% proof of Russia pulling out for good.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the “art of the deal” is now done by China!

If anyone knows the “global art of the deal” it’s them, and most certainly not Trump.

Just look at Afghanistan. After twenty years of blood and treasure, humiliated by the Taliban (their great quote has always been “you have the watches, but we have the time”), and in comes China winning the big contracts. And they never fired a shot in anger…yet as I’ve said many times before, they’ve made a killing so to speak.

At warp speed, the UK and the EU have to get their act together. They have to be truthful, they have to be tough…bloody tough. But somehow I don’t think they have an individual as head of state who the others can look to in this critical hour for Ukraine.

Today was absolutely shameful! And for someone who has always enjoyed my time in America, I feel so sorry for every decent American citizen, they don’t deserve this.

Today, you can’t even look to the opposition to government. They were in power until the beginning of this year. They were in power when Putin said he wouldn’t invade…as his tanks and artillery pieces in their hundreds were being transported to the Ukrainian border.

It’s at that point that POTUS with the backing of the UK and Europe needed to say: “Mr Putin, you put one Russian military boot onto the soil of Ukraine, we will flatten the Kremlin.
